Visit a cemetery today, and you are apt to see a number of different methods people have used to pay respect to someone who has died. The most common form of interment today remains underground burial with a casket. If you have chosen earth burial as the form of disposition, you will need to select an outer burial container. While it is not a law that you have one, most cemeteries require one.

The outer burial container has two primary functions:

To support the weight of the grave for continued maintenance of the grave and cemetery.
To protect the casket from grave elements, such as water, dirt, etc.

Non Sealing Grave Liners -- not designed to seal to protect the casket from grave elements. They simply satisfy the cemetery requirement for an outer container.

Vaults -- designed to seal and prevent grave elements from entering the enclosed area and the casket.

Warranties -- Our funeral home makes no representations or warranties about the protective value of certain outer burial containers, other than those made by the manufacturer. The only warranties in connection with goods sold are the express written warranties (if any) extended by the manufacturers. No other warranties of merchandise quality for a particular product are extended by our funeral home.
