Peggy,
I am truely sorry for your loss. I will miss your mom so much at the baylis lab. She and I got along so well. I will never forget the first few times she came in, and then one day instead of calling her back by her name I said “grumpy” come on back, she said are you talking to me and I said your the only grumpy one out there she laughed so hard and from that day forward I would like to think that we became great friends.
Stop in my work sometime because I feel that you and I also became friends.

I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I was glad to hear that most of you were by her side during those last days. Bootie was a good lady and she always made Jeff and I laugh when she poked fun of Jeff at the checkout line! I know you all will miss her and so will we.

Todd and Margie, We (Meyers, Walkers and Mankers) feel very bad that we did not hear about your father till last night (December 28). We probably would have come to the memorial service as had already talked about it. Our sympathy goes out to all of you as we know how empty you feel after you have lost a parent. Our prayers are with you. Sonny, Phyllis, Amy, Danny, Cathy and Dan.

I’m sitting a quiet room reading back through Uncle Mott’s obituary with tears in my eyes as I read the names of the family. Life can seem so long when we are walking through storms but at the end of the storms we realize it is only a prep stage for what is to come. I remember when Keith and I first moved back from Kentucky and you and Uncle Mott had bought the house in Sherman and were remodeling. We would watch as you would work together, everything seemed so balanced, but the best part was watching your family come every day to be part of your lives. That’s what I loved about you and Uncle Mott, your family was always the priority. Uncle Mott was such a gracious man, he never met a stranger and fit in anywhere. Regardless of how many new came into his life, he always kept room for the old.

I’ll miss Uncle Mott but will treasure the memories.
