Jessie M. Henrikson, age 91, of Petersburg, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.

She is survived by:
One Daughter – Kappi Marcus of Athens
One Son - Terry (wife Becky) Henrikson of Athens
Five Grandchildren – Brian Morgan, Pat Morgan, Steve Henrikson,
Mark Henrikson & Paul Henrikson
Five Great-grandchildren – Alyssa, Nathaniel, Connor, Mackenzie & Hannah
Several Brothers and Sisters

Mrs. Henrikson was born December 7, 1918 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of George and Catherine Turnbull Nance.

She married Henry “Hank” Henrikson on February 17, 1939 at the Sherman United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2007.

She was an active member of the Eastern Star Venus Chapter in Riverton and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springfield.

Jessie retired from JCPennys and was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal fan all her life. She dearly loved her family and her pets.

Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with burial at
Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield afterwards at 12:00 noon.
