Adam Mitchell Clack, age 14, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital.

He was born on November 11, 2003, the son of Gary and Teresa Clack

He is survived by his parents; siblings, Nathan and Chelsea; grandparents, Robert and Agnes Gordon; aunts and uncles, Debbie (husband Jim) Hipsher, Judy (husband Steve) Dittmer, Tammy (husband Don) Stewart, Brian (wife Stacia) Gordon, and several cousins.

Adam is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Grover and Bertha Clack; and step-grandmother, Dolores Clack.

Adam was an honor student at Williamsville Junior High School and would have graduated May 25, 2018.

He was a member of Beta Club, Boppin’ BeeBees, and Scholastic Bowl Team at Williamsville Junior High School. Adam ran for the school’s cross country team and played French horn at school and church.  He also played in the Trinity Summer Band.  Adam was an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, including volunteering at VBS and participating in youth activities.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 2:00 until 7:00 at the Williamsville Junior High School.  An additional visitation will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 9:00 until time of funeral services at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.

Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Rev. Michael Schuermann and Rev. James Stuenkel will be officiating.

Memorials can be given to the Williamsville Band or Williamsville Vocal Music Boosters.

    I cannot find the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Adam was a special young man, I knew him mostly from church and Sunday school in his pre teenage years.   33. I was blessed with the opportunity to have Adam in class when I subbed for the teachers of WJHS. He was the sweetest boy and had one of the most infectious smiles that I have ever seen. When I found out, my heart was filled with sadness. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
