Agnes May Halcomb

Agnes M. Halcomb, age 82, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

 She was born on October 19, 1941 in Shelby County, Illinois the daughter of Charles R. and N. Evelyn (Cox) Keck.

 Mourning her passing are her sons, Brian C. Halcomb of Athens and Dale A. (wife Monica) Halcomb of San Diego, CA; granddaughter, Dakota of San Diego, CA; siblings, Charles F. Keck of Windsor, IL, Phyllis A. Huckstep of Mattoon, IL, James H. Keck of Long Beach, CA, and David L. Keck of Neoga, IL; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

 Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Huey; parents, Charles R. Keck and N. Evelyn Cox; brother, Gene R. Keck; and sister, Karen L. Keck.

 Agnes graduated in 1959 from Neoga High School.

 She worked for the State of Illinois for 37 ½ years.

 Graveside services will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Trowbridge, Illinois on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00AM.

 Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
