Allyn Joann (Jo) Fisher-Semple, nee Turley graduated to the waiting arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 5th, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Jo was born to Jerome and Edna (Fosnaugh) Turley on March 6th, 1931. She grew up on the farm east of Dawson, IL and graduated from Tri-City High School in 1949. After attending Illinois Business School, she was employed by the Illinois National Guard as assistant to the unit commander.  It was while working for the Guard that a co-worker invited her to a company picnic where she met her future husband, Ken Fisher.

She married Kendall A. Fisher of Loami, IL on May 9, 1953. Together they raised four children, Kendall Fisher (Kathy) of Bolingbrook, IL, Kimberly Candler (Brad-deceased) of Fishers, IN, Todd Fisher (Charity) of Sharpsburg, IL and Tracy Fisher (Kim) of Lake St.Louis, MO. They survive along with twelve beloved grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Ken preceded her in death due to cancer in 1981. Jo is survived by three sisters, Doris Davis (Carl – deceased) of RIverton, IL, Pat Martin (Stan – deceased) of Los Angeles, CA and Sharon Booker (Bob) of Springfield, IL and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Kendall, her parents, and her brother Wendell Turley (Rita) and son-in-law Brad Candler.

After losing her husband to cancer in 1981, Jo married Jack Semple in 1988. He preceded her in death due to cancer in 2011. Jack’s children are Kathy Siegrist (Kent) of Billings, MT, Doug Semple of Billings, MT, Holly Miller (Mike Bakken) of Brooklyn, WI, and Scott Semple (deceased), five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jo was a devoted wife and mother. Her words to us hours before she passed:
