Annie Greenslade, age 80, of Springfield, passed away on October 13, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on January 2, 1939 in St. Joesph, MO to Clarence and Clara (Richardson) Speer.
Annie is survived by her two daughters, Janet (David Jay) Lehman and Donna (Richard) Chase; granddaughters, Heather (Bill) Sherell, Lynnee (Troy) Marcum, Jill Cole, Samantha (Gary) Anderson, and Nicci (Gene Lehman-Dodd; 15 great-grandchildren, Zavier Marcum, Zachary Anderson, Zaynah Lehman, Colton Sherell, Olivia Marcum, AJ Lehman, Lillian Lehman, Tyler Marcum, Calleigh Sherell, Samuel Lehman, Jaycie Cole, Bryce Marcum, Adalyn Anderson, Chase Halerewicz, and Raelee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings.
Annie worked for John W. Hobbs for over 40 years.
She loved Sunday shopping trips, and dearly loved spending time with her family.
Cremation rites will be accorded. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
Burial of cremains will be at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.
