Audrey Rapp

Audrey M. Rapp, age 91, of Petersburg, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Mrs. Rapp was born May 17, 1926 in Greenview the daughter of Adam and Golda (Goldie) May Sampson Hibbs.

She married Benjamin F. Rapp on January 21, 1946 at the Mason City Christian Church. She attended Salt Creek Grade School, Mason City High School and Illinois Wesleyan University.

Mrs. Rapp is survived by two sons, Larry (Sharon) Rapp of Athens and Gary (Carrie) Rapp of Carroll, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Carol (Steve) Miller of Sherman; eight grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben; a son, Duane; a grandson, Randy; and a brother and two sisters in infancy.

Mrs. Rapp is a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Petersburg.

She retired after 25 years with the University of Illinois Extension Service, Menard County and Sangamon-Menard Extension Unit.

Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on  Sunday, September 24 ^th .  Funeral services will also be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home on Monday, September 25 ^th , at 10:00 AM, with Steve Miller and Pastor Diane Ludington officiating.

Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.

Memorials can be made to the Central Presbyterian Church in Petersburg.
