Bonnie Mae Wiker, age 78, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.

She was born April 30, 1943 in Athens, the daughter of John and Florence (Glenn) Wiker.

Bonnie is survived by two sisters, Mary Wiker, of Petersburg, Bettie (Herrell) Lewis of East Alton; a sister-in-law, Marlene Wiker; nephews, Jim (TJ) Wiker, Jeff (Violet) Wiker and their daughters, Emma and Ellen; nieces, Mona (Tom) Aiello, Susan Rowe and her daughter, Kristen; and Sharon (Jeff) Ambrose and their daughter, Kati.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James “Jim” Wiker.

Bonnie was a member of the Athens United Methodist church and later attended New Life Baptist Church in Athens.

She loved playing bingo and doing crafts.

Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10:00 until time of memorial services at 11:00 AM at New Life Baptist Church in Athens with Rev. Milt Crain officiating.  Burial of cremains will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to New Life Baptist Church.
