Carl L. Claypool, age 88, of Springfield, formerly of Williamsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
He was born July 8, 1932 in Williamsville, the son of Henry and Helena Claypool.
Carl is survived by sisters, Emma Adams of Chatham, Ramona Flagg of Sherman; brother, Donald (wife Velma) Claypool of New Berlin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Catherne Jean Claypool.
Carl enjoyed farming all his life in the Williamsville area.
Funeral services for Carl will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens with Rev. Jon Morrissette officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed for the service.
Burial will be held at Fancy Creek Cemetery near Sherman.
Memorial contributions can be made to Springfield Supportive Living.

Emma Lou, Ramona and Donald,
Please accept my deepest sympathy upon the loss of your brother. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sad time. I have lots of fond memories of our younger days and the good times shared. May God be with you all and bring you comfort.
