Jennie G. Case age 94 of Greenview, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Jennie is survived by daughters; Jeanene (Thomas) Johnson of Greenview & Sharon (Thurman) Ingram of Cantrall & one son Richard (Georgia) Case of Browning, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; one sister Peggy Hooker of Tennessee and several nieces & nephews.

Jennie was born December 26, 1916 in Athens, the daughter of William and Effie Propst Doggett.

She married Russell Case and he preceded her in death in February of 1967.

Jennie retired from Allis-Chalmers after nearly 25 years of work. She loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid outdoors woman. Jennie enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 10th from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Greenview Christian Church. Mott & Henning is in charge of the funeral services. Rev. Blake Canterbury will be officiating.

Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.

Memorials can be made to the Greenview Christian Church.

  1. Please accept my condonlences. I bowled with Jennie, Joy and the rest of the Greenview group many years ago. I always enjoyed bowling against her team. She was lively and funny.
