Clarence Boggs

Clarence Boggs, age 92, of Williamsville, passed away on Tuesday February 3, 2026 at St. Clara’s Rehab in Lincoln, Illinois

He was born on April 12, 1933 in Jacksonville, IL the son of Clarence E. Boggs and Christina E. Young.

Clarence married Julia Marconi on January 24th, 1953.

Mourning his passing are his son, Ken (Linda Winke) Boggs, two daughters Karen (Ron) Bell and Kathleen (Todd) Lease, two granddaughters, Christina (Justin) Clark and Janel Lease.

He is preceded in death by both parents, his wife Julia and one sister, Leta Sergeant.

Clarence was an independent sheet metal worker and worked as a locomotive engineer on the Burlington / Northern Railroad in Beardstown, IL.

He stayed active after retirement doing woodworking, going to flea markets and reading in his spare time.

Clarence served as a light weapon infantryman in the US Army from 1952 – 1954 at Ft. Lewis in Washington.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
