Tribute and Message from the Family
Earl M. Daniels, 84, of Cantrall, passed away on Saturday March 22, 2014 at home in the care of his wife Barbara Brachear.
Earl was born on July 14, 1929 on the family farm outside Manchester the son of Joseph and Mary Daniels.
Earl graduated from Winchester High School and soon moved to the Springfield area holding positions as a welder and mechanic before opening his own business, Earl Daniels Garage, which he self-operated until his death. Earl prided himself on his business relationships, always striving to provide a good value and honest dealings with his customers.
As well as incorporating these values into his business he also he also applied them to being an exceptional husband, father, stepfather and overall family man. Earl was also a successful farmer and businessman operating various other businesses related to agriculture. Earl was a teacher of auto mechanics and mechanical problem solving to many customers, friends, family and willing learners of all ages. If it was motor operated, he could fix it.
Earl is preceded in death by wife Yvonne (2005), father Joseph, mother Mary, brothers John, Earnest and Harvey, sister Grace, Daughter Cynthia, sons Russell and Kenneth.
He is survived by his son Joseph, and four siblings, two brothers Merle and Fred and two sisters, Jean and Ruth. As well as his wife Barbara Brachear , of Cantrall . Five stepchildren Robert, Michael, Sheri, Heather, and John. 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Internment will be at Camp Butler, Springfield. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 AM until noon on Saturday March 29, 2014 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home 206 N. Main Street Athens, Illinois.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family, but a smile for knowing and loving Earl. For all the years we have known Earl with any given day he always had a smile on his face. He was always willing to give a helping hand. Earl will truly be missed. Heaven is gaining a great angel this week. Love you Earl.
