Delmar Tobias

Delmar Tobias age 86. of Petersburg, passed away May 23, 2015 at Sunny Acres near Petersburg.

Delmar is survived by a daughter Donna (Joseph) Fleischli of Springfield, son David
Tobias of Petersburg, granddaughter/daughter, Tara Tobias of Springfield, three grandchildren, Marcena Fleischli, Joseph Fleischli III both of Springfield and David Tobias Jr. of Champaign; and one sister, Harriet Tobias of Petersburg.

He is preceded in death by his wife Diamonda in 2000. One brother; Marcus Tobias, one sister; Shirley Landreth.

Delmar was born on October 4, 1928 near Fancy Prairie, the son of Harry and Flora Tobias.

Delmar was a farmer his whole life in Fancy Prairie and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. Delmar also served in the Korean War for the US Army as a Radio Communications Operator.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10 am-12 pm with funeral service to be held at 12 pm at Mott & Henning Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at Indian Point near Athens, Illinois
