Delores Eileen (Oschwald) Fowler

Delores joined all the saints in heaven on November 1, 2026, in her home, in her bed, in her sleep just as she had prayed for.

Delores was born on December 2, 1933, in Andrew, Illinois, the youngest of three children of Martin and Minnie (Reinders) Oschwald.

She married Earl Fowler on April 26, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2024.She is survived by her children Angela Peifer, Pam (Mark) Jerome, Brian Fowler, and Rebekah Fowler; grandchildren Emily (Mark) Schroeder, Emma (Chris) Nation, Mathew and Lily Fowler; great grandchildren Edmund and Benjamin Schroeder; her sisters-in-law Betty Fowler and Margaret Oschwald; many much-loved nieces and nephews; and dear friend and caregiver, Linda Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers Donald (Doris) and Glenn Oschwald; grandson Beau Robbins; and son-n-law Jim Peifer.

Delores graduated from Williamsville High School and her first job right out of high school was as a secretary at Illinois National Insurance Agency where she worked until the birth of her first child. She returned to work in 1969 in the office of WW Hill Grain Elevator and as a tax preparer from January through April for Farm Business, Farm Management (FBFM) and then worked as a tax preparer at a private agency for nine years before starting her own tax preparer business which she did until 1999. She also served as Williamsville village clerk for 12 years and as Williams Township bookkeeper. After 25 years of tax preparation and bookkeeping she retired but continued as township bookkeeper until she was 80 years old.Delores was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, along with her husband Earl, and spent many years in service to her Lord, congregation, and church family. She was an active member of the Altar Guild and Friends in Faith, as well as serving on several boards and the constitution committee, and volunteering wherever her help was needed. She was an active member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and served as the Central Illinois District’s LWML treasurer as well as serving on the Camp CILCA board as treasurer.
