Aneta Elizabeth Ethell passed over on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Aneta had been one of the many happy residents of Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg for the last 8 years where she enjoyed many hours of playing bingo, dancing, singing and just smiling and visiting with all her fellow residents. Aneta liked nothing better than to spend a Sunday with all her family gathered around at home having the grandkids run around and playing cards with her kids.

During her many careers Aneta farmed, raised dogs, ran a bowling alley, worked for the State of Illinois, ran a tavern, sold real estate, and spent countless hours taking care of her grandchildren.

Aneta was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; a son, Danny (Beckie) Ethell; sisters, Ruth and Jo; brothers, Silas, Jim, and Kelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Aneta is survived by daughters, Janice (Ed) Nichols of Athens, Lana (Kevin) Forden of Sherman, and Peggy Mounce of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Beckie Ethell of Chatham; grandchildren, Nick (Rhonda) Ethell of Athens, Michelle (Scott) Hudspeth of Athens, Terry Stout of Springfield, Brandy (Steven) Guisgond of Meridan, Mississippi, Jon Forden of Springfield, Vicki (Kirk) Brauer of O’Fallon, Missouri, Yvonne (Matt) Pyle of Springfield, Rachel Mounce of Springfield, Jamie (Toni) Trumpy of Sawyerville, DJ (Michelle) Trumpy of Chatham, and Justin Trumpy of Edwardsville; great-grandchildren, Brittany Stout of Springfield, Chance Guisgond of Meridan, Mississippi, Tyler and Trent Ethell of Athens, Taylor Forden of Springfield, Lincoln and Owen Brauer of O’Fallon, Missouri, Ava, Aubrey, and Charlie Pyle of Springfield, Hannah and Luke Trumpy of Sawyerville, Alyson and Brandon Trumpy and Cherokee McCue of Chatham, and Lauren Trumpy of Edwardsville; brothers-in-law, Bill (Lola) Ethell and Jack (Betty) Ethell of Athens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
