Condolences

  1. So sorry for your loss. Shirley was a great person to know and will be missed by many. May God Bless you and bring you through this difficult time.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Shirley was a beautiful person and had a heart of gold. She was always concerned about her friends and neighbors and was willing to help in whatever way she could. I grew up knowing and spending time with Shirley and I am so happy Alec got to spend time getting to know her too. We are blessed to have known her. We will really miss her. Our love and hugs to all of you.

  3. My deepest sympathy to all of you. It was so wonderful to see (and hug) Shirley last Friday night at the WHS Reunion. She was the same old Shirley … onery, sweet, smiling, and I’m so glad I got that great big hug! Your Mom, Shirley will be missed. Please know I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. She was a very special lady.

  4. She was a wonderful woman, the world’s BEST Mother-in-Law and she has spoiled me rotten since I was about 15 years old. She has always stood up for me and defended and supported me. She raised and molded three wonderful daughters, one of which stalked me till I married her ( 37 years ago ). Those three daughters have raised eight remarkable Grand Children, everyone of them could talk for years about their Gramma Shirley. Her bond with her grandkids is something stronger than I’ve ever seen before. Her Great Grandchildren were in the process of developing that same bond – I think they’ll have the idea and remember. She had so many friends and so many people were touched by her that she’ll not be forgotten soon. And somewhere tonight, someone is telling a “Shirley Story” and they’re laughing despite their sadness. A lesson to be learned – making people laugh is eternal.

  5. Sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Ferguson was one of the sweetest ladies I had the pleasure of knowing growing up. My heart & thoughts are with the family through this sad time. Doodle

  6. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family….so sorry..

  12. We’re so sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. She was a sweet, lovely person – she was always warm and friendly when we’d chat at softball games! Matt thought she was awesome! She always welcomed him when he’d spend time at her home with Tyler & Kaylan. Loved her donuts! Please know that, although she’s gone, she’s now your heavenly angel watching & protecting each of you. God bless you …

  15. As someone said, “another Angel got her wings.” This is so true of Shirley. I know that God has a special place for this beautiful lady. We grew up together and then raised our kids together. Her days as a foster parent were incredible; she loved them all and cared for them as her own. There was always room for just one more. We will miss her at Halloween time; she made the best popcorn balls for her “special people” as she called it. My prayers are with you Harold and the family in your time of sorrow.

  16. Shirley was a wonderful person, friend and co-worker.I worked with her at ST John hospital for about 20 years and enjoyed every day i worked with her. she made the best twinkie cakes. RIP my friend.

  17. Terri, Vicki and Families, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. She was a “one of a kind”, and never knew a stanger. It was so nice to see her last weekend at the All Class Reunion. I have so many memories of her and growing up around your house. There was always room for one more. I also remember her working for my dad at Curry Superway. Her and dad were classmates and remained friends forever. I know this is a difficult time but you have so many memories that will help you through this. And you will hear so many more stories in the coming days that you will know how much she was loved and how much she loved you. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

  18. Our deepest condolences to each member of Shirly’s family. She gave us the gifts of her friendship, kindness and sense of humor (not to mention all of the goodies) when we moved to Sherman 3 1/2 years ago and she will be missed much more than you will ever know.

  19. Terri, Vicki, Tammie, and Jimmie, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Where do I begin to tell you what a wonderful person she was and what an impact she made on my life. Your mother always had a place for us. She was our second mother! I was truly blessed being able to be a part of her life. She touched each of us in special ways. Her stories, kindness and love will be with me forever! Please know that she will look down on you daily with a smile on her face and love in her eyes. Each of you and your families were her pride and joy. She definitely got her wings and we were all blessed to have that angel in our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
