Frank Platt
February 16, 1944 – December 5, 2022.
Frank Platt was born to Harry & Vera (Meridale) Platt in Luton, England. They immigrated to Canada when Frank was 4 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Valerie, as well as his wife Judi. He married Violet McLaughlin on August 24th, 1968, and then Judith R Mitchell on February 27th, 1988.
He was a veteran of the Canadian Navy having served from 1962 to 1965 as an Able Seaman Electrician Mate. He was a Sheet Metal worker for multiple companies in Canadian & US. He found great satisfaction in the multiple projects he was involved in over the years. He enjoyed time with family and friends boating on lakes & rivers, fishing, snowmobiling, playing horseshoes and of course golfing.
He was a member of Athens Christian Church. After retirement he worked part-time as a school bus driver for the Athens School district.
He is survived by his sons Doug (Jennifer) Platt, Steven (Barb) Platt of Ontario Canada. Stepchildren Linda Blakley, Scott Blakley, Christina Neely, Tom Blakley and TJ Cullers. As well as grandchildren; Scott, Shane, Braden, Nathan, Tarilyn, Nicholas, Sierra, Evan, Michelle, Jesscia, Katie, Jacquelyn, Gabrielle, Mitchell, Wyatt, and great-grandchildren; Oliver, Oakley, Hazel and Annette.
Services will be Monday December 12th, 2022, at Athens Christian Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Indian Point Cemetery. Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the APL or Athens Christian Church.

Frank was a great guy and a dear friend. He will be missed by many.

Frank was such a fine person. We enjoyed visiting with him at church and found him to be kind and outgoing. Our sympathy and prayers are with Frank’s family and loved ones. He will be missed.
