George W. Withers

George Wesley Withers, age 46, of Greenview, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

He was born on May 11, 1976 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of George H. and Lori L. Withers.

George married Katie Fox on May 2, 2015.

Mourning his passing is his wife, Katie Withers; daughter, Mackenzi Withers; son, Darren Withers; mother, Lori Withers; three brothers, Jason (Carol) Withers, Fred (Amie) Withers, Travis (Cassie) Withers; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

George enjoyed cooking food, riding his motorcycle, camping and hiking.  He especially enjoyed his time with his family and friends.

He worked at Precision Tank for many years.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
