Ellen Glassbrook, age 93, of Sherman, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Villa Health Care East.
She is survived by her sister Betty Manley, nephews Bob (Raynette) Manley, Rick (Doris) Manley, John (Alisa) Manley; and several great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her brothers Bill Cox, Otis Cox, Fred Cox, Bobby Cox and a sister Dorothy Furline, and her parents William Grover Cox and Lulu Faye Taylor Cox.
Ellen was born October 24, 1919 in Springfield, the daughter of William G. and Lulu F. Taylor Cox.
Ellen worked as a waitress at the Palm Springs airport in California and at the Illiopolis Ammunition Plant during WWII.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Indian Point Cemetery near Athens with Rev. Bill Swaar officiating.
Memorials can be made to The Villas of Sherman.

Bob and Raynette, sorry about the death of a loved one. You and the entire Manley family have my sympathy and prayers.
