Shirley J. Hays, age 79, of Riverton, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 2:50 PM at her residence.
Survived by: Two Sons-Thomas (wife Brenda) Hays of Manito -Carroll (wife Diane) Hays of Williamsville Two Daughters- Bobbie Freer of Peoria -Robin (husband Michael) Heffron of El Paso Six Grandchildren Three Sisters-Alta (husband Thurman) Carter of Woodsfield, Ohio -Vivian (husband Martin) Kinsel of Springfield -Carol (husband Sam) Coe of Madison, Wisconsin Two Brothers-Allen “Butch” (wife Donna) Martin of Hot Springs, Arkansas -Ken (wife Charolette) Martin of Gold Canyon, Arizona Several Nieces & Nephews
She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar O. Hays in 1988; two brothers, Mike and Keith Rhodes; and stepmother, Dorothy M. Rhodes. Mrs. Hays was born October 18, 1927 in Edinburg, Illinois, the daughter of the late Allen and Hester Carmichael Rhodes.
She was a member of the Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church and a longtime resident of Williams Township.
Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home where friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, and where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
