Virgina Hill

Virginia Hill, age 99, of Sherman, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015, at Villa Health Care East in Sherman, Illinois.

Virginia is survived by four children, Mike Hill, Cathy Reid, Barbara Buscher, Marilyn Nickel; one brother, Larry Edwards; two sisters, Wanda Bell and Judy Higgerson; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert; a son, Alan Hill; a daughter, Judith Cooper; three brothers; one sister; one great-grandchild, and one great-great- grandchild.

Virginia was born June 6, 1916 in Tallula, the daughter of Roy and Metta Edwards.

She was a homemaker all of her life.

Virginia graduated from Tallula High School.

She was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 from 9:00 until time of funeral services at 10:00 AM at Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Rev. Joe Eby will be officiating.
