Ira “Bruce” Edwards, age 53, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL
He was born May 23,1969 in Chicago, IL.
Mourning his passing are his sons, Cody Edwards, Zachary Edwards, Ira B. Edwards, Jr., and Lysander Lincoln Edwards; biological mother, Ruth Nolan; and sisters, Linda “Renee” Edwards, Barbara “Bobbie” McFadden, Cari Short, Kelley Brady, and Briana Brady.
He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Thelma and Johnny Edwards; and biological father, Timothy Brady.
Bruce acquired his GED with his close friend, Jennifer Randall.
He worked in the food service industry.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the VFW Post #5520, 609 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois.
