Jean Ledbetter, age 90, died on Friday, November 25, 2022 at St. John’s Residential Care Home, Fort Worth, Texas.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol Deckard Jenks of Fort Worth, Texas, two granddaughters, Krista Jeffrey (husband, James) and Lauren Miller (husband, Mark) and seven great grandchildren, James, Beau, Jack, Logan, Addie, Kollins and Boone.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ledbetter and sisters Lucille Smith and Helen Garrett.
Jean was born on January 28, 1932, in Athens, Illinois to parents Lucy and Harry Smith.
She graduated from Athens High School (Jean Smith) and has lived in Arkansas, Colorado and Texas.
Jean loved to travel and spent many years travelling across the United States and abroad, collecting post cards everywhere she went. She was always accompanied by a dog companion throughout the years.
A private grave side service will be held for family on Friday, December 2, 2022.
