John F. “Js” Spaulding

John F. “JS” Spaulding, age 64, of Greenview, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence.

He was born June 12, 1958 in Hopedale, Illinois, the son of Floyd and Frances (Cunningham) Spaulding.

Mourning his passing are his son, Zachariah Spaulding; daughters, Jade Thomas and Celia (Ben) Lanctot; parents, Floyd and Frances Spaulding, sisters, Sheila (Dennis) Wiss and Alice Larnerd; four granddaughters, Nicolette, Emma, Hunter, and Madelyn; beloved grandpuppies, Lucy, Lilly, Tank, and Brenley; and many, many friends that he loved.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby; sister, Teresa; his children’s mother, Patricia Shawgo; step-sons, Keith and Danny Baugher; and several aunts and uncles.

JS graduated from Greenview High School in 1977.

He worked at Adams Construction, Garrett Aviation, and finished his working career at Country Hills Golf Course in Greenview.

JS was a staple of the Greenview community who gave the best hugs.  He loved nature, building bird houses, giving women flowers, and playing the Juke box.  He never knew a stranger and was always willing to help anybody out.  He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 22 at the Greenview AMVETS from 3:00 until 6:00 PM.
