John Lash

John Lash, age 93, of Greenview, passed away on July 13, 2016 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. John is survived by his wife, Joyce; two brothers; four children, Marilyn (Ron) Moore, Julie Pryer, Dan (Kay) Lash and Dale Lash as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by both parents; one son, John Allen Lash and several brothers and sisters. John was born on February 19, 1923 in Franklin, Illinois the son of John and Margaret Childers-Lash. He loved hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. John had a passion to help anyone in need. John also served in WWII and the Korean War. Graveside services for John will be on July 15, 2016 at 2 PM at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Rev. Dan Yielding will be officiating. Memorials can be sent to, Bind up the Wounded Community Church in Oakford, IL.
