Kathleen "Kathie" Hudspeth

Kathleen “Kathie” Hudspeth, age 59, of Greenview, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at her residence.

Kathleen was born on June 21, 1965 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Jerome and Toni (Landis) Duncan.

She married Phil Hudspeth on February 19, 2004 in Petersburg, Illinois.

Mourning her passing are her husband, Phil; daughter, Cassie (husband Robby) Bowen of Quincy, IL; three grandchildren, Myles, Liam, and Ellie of Quincy, IL; two sisters, Patricia (husband Billy) Lowe and Beth (husband Darrin) Smith of Mason City, IL; sister-in-laws, Kristina (husband Duane) Boyette of Ashland, IL and Kathy (husband Tizzy) Tisdale of Greenview, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Toni; and a nephew, Jerry Ray Keith.

Kathie attended Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield for two years.

She worked for Pekin Hospital when she first started her career, and later for Laughlin and Cunningham Insurance as an agent/receptionist.

Kathie loved scrapbooking, flower gardening, and working out in her yard.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Greenview Amvet Post 179, 111 State Route 29, Greenview, Illinois.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
