Kathryn (Maloney) Haggard, age 83, departed on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at Villa East in Sherman.
She was born December 30, 1935 in Springfield, IL, daughter of Thomas Maloney and Marie (Neal) Maloney.
Kathryn married OC Haggard on March 6, 1954 in Joliet, IL.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara (Robert) Atchason; one grandson, James (Rob) Atchason; sisters, Mary (Maloney) Fishburn, Carole (Maloney) Fries, and Rita (Maloney) Folder.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, OC; daughter, Elizabeth, and son, Steven Haggard.
Kathryn grew up in Springfield, IL; attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy in Springfield, IL.
Memorial services for Kathryn will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2019 at St. John Vianney Church in Sherman. Her ashes will be interned immediately following the services in Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Fancy Prairie, IL.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I am sorry for your loss.O.C. and I were first cousins so I think that is like Kathryn and I were too. Remember all the good times you had with her.

So sorry to read of your loss. Kathryn was a wonderful person. I worked with her years ago and then she married OC who went to school with my late husband and I. We had lots of great visits over the years and when my husband was at the VIlla. Sorry I din’t follow up with visiting the past year but often thought of her and know she will be missed by all. Memories are always a great way to keep her in our thoughts and hearts. May God be with you all.
