LeRoy B. Kern, age 83, of Sherman, formerly of Athens, died at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.

Survived by: One Daughter : Linda (husband Bill) Fisher of Cantrall

Two Grandsons : Art (wife Deanna) Fisher of Williamsville

Jason (wife Amy) Fisher of Cantrall

Three Great-grandsons One great-grand daughter

Brothers : Lyle (wife Marj) Kern of Sherman

Orville (wife Mary) Kern of Springfield

Joe (wife Joann) Kern of Cantrall John (wife Joyce) Kern of Athens

Mr. Kern was born January 23, 1924 in Sangamon County, the son of Berton LeRoy and Anna Rebecca Schumacher Kern. Mr. Kern married Imogene Tobias in March of 1950 in Athens. She preceded him in death in 2004. .

He was a farmer all of his life in the Fancy Prairie area. Mr. Kern was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Athens.

Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens from 9:00 until time of service at 10:30 on Saturday.
