Kern, Lyle

Lyle “Dutch” Kern age 88, of Sherman peacefully passed away October 15, 2008 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by: Wife : Marj of Sherman Son : Kevin (Carolyn) Kern of Twin Lakes, WI Daughters- Karla (Dale) Dirks of Petersburg

Kristi Kern(companion Donald) of Sherman

Two brothers : John (Joyce) Kern of Athens

Joe (Joanne) Kern of Cantrall Six Grandchildren : Kama, Jessica (Brandon), Matt, Jacob, Mike & Luke

Three Great Granddaughters : Kaylen, Kenley & Kelsey Several Nieces & Nephews

Mr. Kern was born February 13, 1920 in Salisbury, the son of Bert LeRoy and Anna Schumacher Kern.

He is preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings

Mr. Kern was an avid Cardinal fan and farmed all of his life. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in South Pacific & Philippines and was a recipient of several medals.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. John’s Vianney Church in Sherman at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday October 18, 2008.

Memorials contributions can be made to Villa Healthcare West or Memorial Hospice.
