Larry Pickrell

Larry Pickrell “Pickles”, age 74, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

He is survived by four daughters; Renea Cox, Rebecca Pickrell, Laken (Alex) Castrillo and Carol Maria; as well as several step-children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pickles is preceded in death by two sons, Billy Jo and Thomas Pickrell, both parents and sister, Pat Jacobson.

Larry was born on September 7, 1943 in Sweetwater, IL the son of Thomas Pickrell and Lillian Williams – Pickrell.

Pickles retired from Springfield Housing Authority and State Journal Register.

Visitation for Larry will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Truth Tabernacle Church in Petersburg. Services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the Church.

Burial will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery near Sweetwater.

Pastor J.D. McWhorter will be officiating.
