Margaret Bryant

Margaret J. Bryant, age 85, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Villa Healthcare East in Sherman.

She is survived by three sons, Stephen Yeates, Kenneth (Patricia) Yeates, Franklin Yeates; one daughter, Donna Semon,; three stepsons, Clifford “Pete” Bryant, John Bryant, and Jimmy Bryant; two stepdaughters, Karen Reagan and Kelly Berndt; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Post; and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Bryant, Sr. on August 5, 1995; a brother, Everett Cobb; and step-son, Charles Bryant.

Mrs. Bryant was born in Lincoln, Illinois on March 19, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Goldie Lindsey Buttell.

She had worked as a telephone operator after graduating from high school and later worked for Memorial Medical Center.

Visitation for Margaret will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.

Burial will be held in Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens.

Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association.
