Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson, age 84, of Petersburg, passed away on July 27, 2016 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.

Mary Ann is survived by two sons, Steve (Sherry) and Mike (Vita) Johnson of Athens; two daughters, Diane (Mike) Sidwell of Petersburg and Julie (Ron) Alghini of Round Lake Beach; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Delbert; one daughter, Nancy Hashman.

Mary Ann was born on June 27, 1932 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Louis and Alma Schroll.

Mary Ann married Delbert W. Johnson on October 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1994.

She was a graduate of Springfield High School and Millikin University. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Mary Ann was also a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

Visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10 AM Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Indian Point Cemetery.

Rev. Milt Crain will be officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Animal Protective League.
