Mason Colliver

Mason Colliver, age 80, of Springfield, Illinois passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on July 22, 2025.

Mason was born October 4, 1944 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Jane (Mason) Colliver.

He married Patricia A. Fagan on May 1, 1965.

Mourning his passing are his wife, Patricia; son, Billy (wife Chris); daughter, Kristy (husband Michael); granddaughter, Chloe Mason; grandson, Zach; granddaughter, Katie (husband Paul); great-grandchildren, Maddie and Anna; a niece; several nephews; and his dogs, Winifred and Honey.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond; mother Jane; and brother, D. Randy Colliver.

Mason graduated from Lanphier High School in 1962.

He worked for Allis Chambers, Fiat Allis, and SIU School of Medicine.

Mason was a member of the National Street Rod Association (NSRA).

He enjoyed classic cars, street rods, cooking, and woodworking.

Mason served for the Illinois National Guard for six years.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
