Emma Jayne Mason age 88, of Athens, died Saturday January 13, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital.

Survived by: One Sister – Ruth Kenyon Owen of Amite, LA. Nieces – Carleen Vining of Amite, LA

Freda E.Owen of Amite, LA.

Nephew : E. Kenyon Owen of Cleveland, MS Nephew-in-Law : Mason Colliver of Surprize, AZ Great Niece : Courtney Kennard, Slidell, LA.

Great Nephew : Kenyon Horvath, Slidell, LA

Mrs. Mason was born March 21, 1918 in Athens, IL the daughter of Eli and Oma Watkins Kenyon.

She is preceded in death by her husband William E. Mason on January 5, 1972 and also one sister Clara Mae Bradshaw.

Mrs. Mason was a member of the DAR, Athens Women’s Club and a member of Athens United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mason graduated from Meridian High School in Meridian, MS.

She worked as an auditor for the State of Illinois.

Visitation will be held at the Athens United Methodist Church where friends may call from 9:30 until time of service on Friday at 10:30 A.M.
