Mills, Maxine

Maxine L. Mills, age 90, of Sherman, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

nShe is survived by a daughter, Donna and her husband, Scott Cunningham of Elkhart and a granddaughter, Angela and her husband, Nathan Sloan of Riverton.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mills on May 1, 1996.

She was born May 13, 1922 in Dawson, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Bernice (Kresse) Moore.

She graduated from Peoria Central High School and later attended Bradley University.

Maxine was a member of the Sherman United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral services at 10:30 AM.

Rev. Craig Sweet will be officiating.

Burial will be held at Wolf Creek Cemetery near Sherman.

Memorials can be made to the Sherman United Methodist Church or to the Athens Municipal Library.
