Nancy Doty

Nancy Marie Peters Doty, age 86, of Williamsville, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman, Illinois.

Nancy was born on July 12, 1939 in London, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Josephine Harkless Peters.

She married Norman Doty on August 23, 1958. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2010.

Mourning her passing are her children, Nancy (David) Smith of Williamsville and Norman (Deanna) Doty of Williamsville; grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) Doty, Kara Smith (fiancée Scott Simpson), David (Kayla) Smith, Robert (Andrea) Smith; six great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (husband Bob) Turvy of Ohio; sister-in-law, Beverly Peters of Ohio; brother-in-laws, Gary Butz of Ohio and Retired Rev. Don (wife Helen) Doty; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles (wife June) Peters and Norman Dale Peters; sister, Margie Butz; and niece, Amy Jason.

Nancy was a member of the Flower City Chapter #152 of the Eastern Star and the Nimble Fingers Quilters at the Williamsville United Methodist Church (WUMC).

She worked as a school cook for the Williamsville School District for 30 years.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM until time of memorial service at 12:00 PM at the Williamsville Methodist Church.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.

Memorials can be made to the Williamsville Public Library and Museum.
