Patricia "Pat" Stringfield

Patricia “Pat” Stringfield, age 76, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at her home.

She was born on May 20, 1949, in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Howard and Jennie (Jamison) Davidson.

Pat married John Stringfield on December 14, 1985, at Indian Point Presbyterian Church near Athens.

Mourning her passing are her husband, John; children, Kathryn Ann (Krumsiek) (Brad) Taylor, Ashleigh (Stringfield) Miller (Jason), Emily (Phil) Mester, and John (Krista) Stringfield; grandchildren, Madison Taylor, Emily Morgan, R.J. Miller, Oliver Miller, Cooper Mester, Andrew Stringfield, and Henry Stringfield; siblings, Jim (Laura) Davidson, Debbie (Wendell) Kendrick, and John (Mary) Davidson; former spouse, Karl Krumsiek; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, in laws, and siblings, Steve Davidson, and Judy Schroeder.

Pat graduated from Taylorville High School in 1967.

Pat was an avid collector of antiques and enjoyed training horses in her early years. She spent most of her life working with animals and caring for her family.

She was known for her free spirited and adventurous way of living.

Visitation for Pat will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 10:00 until time of funeral services at 11:30 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL. Burial will be immediately after the service at Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Middletown.
