Phyllis I. Riech

Phyllis Riech, age 73, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Capitol Care Center in Springfield, IL.

She is survived by her husband, John; three sons, Duane (Brenda) Riech of Texas, Darryl Riech of Springfield, and Douglas (Pam) Riech of California; one grandson; many sisters and brothers; and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, and two brothers.

Phyllis was born July 4, 1939 in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Leaford Guy and Alveta Pearcy Jones.

She worked at Helen’s Flowers as a flower arranger, in Rochester, IL. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers at her home for many years.

Phyllis married John Riech March 9, 1957 in Springfield, IL.

Visitation will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5 : 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Mott & Henning Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM.

Rev. Kurt Daniel will be officiating.

Burial will be held at West Cemetery in Athens.

John Riech would like to thank all of the nurses, aids and staff at Capitol Care for the love and care they provided for Phyllis.
