Polo Lujan, age 64, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on July 10, 1960 in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Mexico, the son of Alejandro and Irma (Montoya) Lujan.
Polo is preceded in death by his sisters, Amalia Lambert and Lydia Cervantes.
He was an avid reader, he enjoyed crafting Christmas baskets. Polo loved to work with his hands, home renovation and finding creative home solutions. He enjoyed making everyone laugh.
He was a great racquetball player. He coached little league. Polo loved being a dad and grandfather. He was Polo Best.
Visitation for Polo will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is assisting the family.
