Randy Yager, age 62, of Athens, passed away on Monday May 23, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Randy was born June 23, 1959 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Merl and Mary (Banning) Yager.
He is survived by his significant other, Wendi Rich; mother, Mary Yager; three brothers, Karl (Bonnie) Yager, Wayne (Marilyn) Yager, and Danny (Cheryl) Yager; two sisters, Carolyn (Jack) Snider and Vickie Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews.
Randy served for the U.S. Air Force for four years where he earned a Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal.
He worked at Frank Farms in Athens for several years and later for Inland Tool in Mt. Pulaski.
Randy loved fishing, hunting, boating, and just being outdoors.
Visitation for Randy will be held on Saturday May 28, 2022 from 9:00 until time of services at 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens. Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at 12:00 Noon with Military Honors.
