Richardson, Dorothy Darlene

Dorothy Darlene Richardson, age 75, of Greenview, passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She is survived by her loving companion of 42 years, Corb Lowry; sons Chas (Brenda) Richardson, Jim (Angel) Richardson, daughters Cathy (Johnnie Green) Wagoner, Dawn (Chuck Galman) Christensen; her brothers Raymond Hamilton and George Hamilton, sisters Rose Leamon and Betty Jennings; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray W. Hamilton and Mildred C. Adams.

Dorothy was born August 11, 1937, in Athens, IL the daughter of Ray and Mildred Hamilton.

She was an avid humming bird watcher and a huge Springfield Junior Blues fan. Dorothy also enjoyed attending her grandsons’ motorcycle races, crocheting and mushroom hunting in her spare time.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, Illinois from 5 until 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home at 10 AM.

Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.

Burial will be held at West Cemetery in Athens, IL.
