Etta Robison, age 84, of Williamsville, IL went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Harris and Lois Thompson both of Williamsville; daughter-in-law, LuAnn Robison; three sisters, Evelyn Haggard, Ruth Nonn, Rose Marie Summers; one brother, Tom DeWitt, eight grandchildren, Laura, Cindy, Martha, Carolyn, Jeremy, Josh, Jennifer, and Andrew; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Etta was born March 21, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois the daughter of Thomas and Lena Floyd DeWitt.
She is preceded in death by her husband Duane in 1981; sons, Duane Robison in 2007 and Tom Robison in 1969; sister, June Antonacci; son-in-laws, Bob Harris and Louie Thompson; and dear friend Art Dominique.
Etta graduated from Williamsville High School in 1945 and later graduated from LPN school in 1975 in West Plains, Missouri.
She is a member of the Athens Christian Church and worked for St. John’s Hospital for 20 plus years. She enjoyed taking pictures of flowers, reading, collecting dolls, traveling, and crocheting.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 30, 2010 from 9:00 until time of funeral services at 10:00 AM at the Athens Christian Church.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
Burial will be held at Fancy Creek Cemetery near Sherman. Memorials can be made to the Athens Christian Church.
