He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, his sister Debbie Lott, and brother in law Bob Lott.
Roger was employed as a heavy equipment operator all of his life and worked for Higginbotham Excavating, Hanson Material Services, and Operating Engineers Local 965. He loved his work more than anything and was in constant competition with his son Adam, who also works for Local 965.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Jaime (Jason) White, Haley (Thales) Stewart, Adam Bock, and their mother Loretta DeClerck. He is also survived by his step-children Khrista Meats, Ryan (Makinzie) Kenzel, Sean (Bailey) Kenzel, his sister Nancy (Roy) Smith, and several nieces and nephews. He adored his grandchildren Lenora White, Lane and Leo Stewart, Lewis Bock, Gage and Kason Meats, and Keeley Jean Kenzel.
Roger was a true die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved his Bud Light, loved to golf, and was always the first to lend a hand when anyone needed him. He loved his time running The Garage Bar & Grill and getting to serve cold beer to friends near and far.
Roger was also a favorite with all of the kids. Involving himself in his daughters’ dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, softball, volleyball and his sons basketball. He was always the “fun dad” and devoted all of his extra time at their events. He was always so proud to brag and reminisce about all the great times they had.
He will be missed by so many and when the Cardinals win, look to the heavens and cheer- Go, Cardinals, Go- for Roger.
