Carol June Ruggles Rogers age 50, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Rogers; a step-son, Christopher Rogers; her two mothers, Eleanor Ruggles & Mary Funkhouser; step-father, Vernon Funkhouser; siblings, Richard Ruggles, Jr., Mary L. Ruggles, Debby Sullivan, Terry Ruggles, Henry Ruggles, Kevin Schultz, Margaret Leka, and Lisa Carroll; several beloved nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Albert & Ilene Ruggles; her siblings, Matthew Ruggles, Ronnie Ruggles, Tracy Ruggles, and Louis Ruggles; and her father, Richard Ruggles Sr.. Carol had a lifetime commitment to the health services. She enjoyed cellphones, music, cooking out & camping at other friend’s houses.
Visitation will be held at to Mott & Henning Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday April 6, 2011 and where the funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery in Athens, IL.
Memorials can be made to Catholic Charities or American Red Cross.

I am so sorry for your lost, Carol was a very sweet lady, I worked with her and she always had a smile on her face.May God blessed you all in this time of sorrow .

Our deepest condolences to Carol’s family. She will be missed by staff and Residents at Capitol Care Center. Carol was loved by everyone. May God Bless you in this difficult time. Sue and Jim Cook
