Ruby Mae Tolliver Behl, of Athens, IL, born October 4, 1938, went to her heavenly home at 6:36 AM on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Lorris and Violet Tolliver of New Berlin, IL; husband, Richard L. Behl of Athens; sister, Alberta Courier; and a brother, George Tolliver.
She is survived by brothers, Ralph (Jean) Tolliver and Bud (Diana) Tolliver; sister, Edith (Rudolph) King; children, Benjamin P. (Jo) Gray Jr., Janiece Southers, Karen (Jeff) Stott, and Kevin (Heather) Behl; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held there at the funeral home on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paulette Cott officiating.
Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Athens BLS (Basic Life Support).

Sorry for your loss, Ruby was a great aunt, she always sent us a Christmas Card. She will be greatly missed. Your family are in our prayers. Sorry we can’t attend. Dan & Barb Courier

So sorry for the loss of Ruby . I loved her she was a wonderful caring person and will be greatly missed by many. I will always remember how much she loved going to the Saturday night church service. Wish I had been able to come to more of the Saturday services just to visit with her. If there is any way I could be of help please let me know. She was such a BEAUTIFUL SOUL! You were just drawn to her warm, kind nature! We will MISS her! Heartfelt condolences to Karen, Jeff, and family!
