Scott Case

Scott Case, age 60, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on July 11, 1965 in Champaign, IL the son of Don and Marian (Deckard) Case.

Mourning his passing are his parents, Don and Marian of Greenview; brother, Jeff (Shelly) Case; uncle, Jim Case; aunt, Janet O’Brien; niece, Hannah Case and nephew, Ryan Case and great nephew, Dean; as well as several cousins.

Scott is preceded in death by both grandparents, Elmer and Marion Case as well as Charles and Marie Deckard and his beloved dog Clyde.

He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue.

Scott was an avid sports fan. He really enjoyed watching Illinois basketball and Dallas Cowboys Football.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation for Scott will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5 – 7 PM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home. Services will be held at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview, IL.

Memorial contributions can be made to Animal Protective League of Springfield.
