Lisa Annette Scott, 55, passed away on December 14, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Survived by Husband : Lee Scott
Children : Justin Scott of Athens
Jessica Scott of Springfield
Sonya Killebrew of Beardstown

Sister- Rebecca (Tom) Woodruff of Chatham
Brothers – Mick (Regina) Manning of Pawnee
Kenton (Joette) Manning of Pawnee
Three Grandchildren
Several Nieces & Nephews

Lisa was born on September 3, 1954 in Springfield the daughter of Morgan and Loveta Melton Manning.

Lisa married Lee Scott on October 25, 1997 in Pawnee, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Lisa was a member of Pheasant Forever, Quail Forever and Quail & Upland Wildlife Federation.
She loved her husband, children, her friends very dearly and enjoyed her dog DeeDee and spending time reading.

Lisa work over 30 years for United States Department of Agriculture.

Memorial services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Athens United Methodist in Athens.
Mott & Henning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Gloria Davis will be officiating.

Memorials can be made to Quail Forever, Pheasants Forever or Quail & Upland Wildlife Federation.

I am a county office employee for the FSA and will sadly miss Lisa. Have only seen her a couple of times since she retired due to living in Southern IL…..but she was one of those people you will never forget. Anytime you would call Lisa in the State Office she was always so friendly and helpful…seems like everytime you called was due to having a problem but she was the kind of person that turned your problems into a good situation. She always had a smile on her face and knew you no matter where you saw her!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family. We share your loss….

We wish to express our deepest sympathy on the death of Lisa. She was such a nice lady. We will miss having an opportunity to chat at Westwoods Lodge and catch up on what is going on in her life. Our prayers and thoughts are with Lee and Lisa’s family during these difficult days.

Lee and Family…. We were so sorry to hear of Lisa passing.. I know there are no words that can be said to bring her back to you. Just know that she is in the arms of the angels now.. and will be a guardian angel to others….((((hugs)))

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

That was the hardest thing I had to share with my children. My oldest said she may be gone, but God has a plan for her. She was needed else where. She is now a angel helping serve God. We love you Lisa, and please know you made a difference. You were loved by so many people. We will miss you lots!

I am lucky enough to know Lisa and Lee for the past several years. Every time Lisa saw the kids and I she would always greet us so warmly and with her beautiful smile. Within minutes there would be laughter, but how can there not be with Lisa’s personality. There are very few Lady’s in the world that can be both gentle, strong and so kind and Lisa will always be one of them. There is no better definition of a wonderful person than Lisa and my family will miss her.
