Doris Traeger, age 96, of Williamsville, formerly of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She is survived by a son, Mark (Naomi) Traeger of Williamsville; a daughter, Wendy (George) Ross of Bloomington; three granddaughters, Elizabeth Fawns, Sallie Traeger, and Mary (T.J.) Turnbull all of Williamsville, three great-grandchildren, Molly and Ellie Fawns, and Steven Turnbull; a brother, Elwyn (Lila) Borkgren of Geneseo, IL; a sister-in-law, Edith Borkgren of Moline, IL; a brother-in-law, Bert (Olga) Traeger of Arlington Heights, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Phillip on June 27, 2003; her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.

Doris was born January 8, 1917 in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Alfred Theodore and Effie Willard Borkgren. She married Phillip on January 8, 1946 in Geneseo, IL at St. Malachys Rectory.

Doris worked at Rock Island Arsenal and International Harvester in East Moline during World War II.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose and a member of St. Matthews Church in Farmington, IL. Doris later became a member of St. John Vianney in Sherman.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her family. Doris was an avid Cubs fan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney in Sherman. Rev. Monsignor David Lantz will be officiating. Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Williamsville.
