Unterbrink, Leigh

Leigh Unterbrink, age 53, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She is survived by her partner, Mary Anne Penning; father, Ray and step-mother, Penny Unterbrink; and mother, Judy Choat. She also leaves behind her sister, Jill Brown and husband Gary; two brothers, Kyle and Chris Unterbrink; two nephews, Jeffrey and Zach Brown. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Larry, Denny, Nick, John, Matt, and Frank (deceased) Penning; and sister-in-law, Trish Penning.

Leigh was born December 6, 1957 in Nuremberg, Germany.

She was graduated from Chatham Glenwood High School in 1976. She later attended Lincoln Land Community College.

Leigh lived with her partner, Mary Anne for 33 years in the Springfield area. She loved gardening and animals, especially their dogs.

Funeral services will be at 12:15 Tuesday at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
